The Impact of PLC on the poor and the needy

The PLC has demonstrated practically the full meaning of LOVE within one year of its establishment. Before then, I have known the Founder, Rev. Fr. Innocent Arome Awulu, CSSP, to be love personified. His language of men and angel always ends with practical love of self giving and giver of material, financial and spiritual reliefs. Those of us (thousands of both Christians Muslims and pagans) who have encountered Fr. Awulu have not remained the same but completely delivered from our temporal and spiritual captivities. Christ is said to teach with authority because He backed up all His preaching and teaching with action of releasing one from the hands of one's enemies (hunger, disease, dead in sin, etc.). In like manner, Rev. Fr. Awulu's preachings and teachings are always backed punctuated with practical love. Fr. Awulu is patient and kind, neither conceited nor proud, and does not keep record of wrongs - I am a living testimony.
What St. John's first letter said (1 John 3:18) is exactly what PLC and its Founder represents and demonstrates. "Meanwhile these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love; and the greatest is LOVE (1Cor. 13:13).
TIMING
" What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. What I know now is only partial, then it will be complete - as complete as God's knowledge of me". (1 Cor. 13:12). I must confess that I used to have a dim image of true, divine and agape love until the coming of the Spiritan Congregation to St. Francis of Assisi, Farin Gida Mando about ten years ago. My wife had an accident and couldn't have survived another one hour when she was taken to St. Gerald's Hospital. The first person to reach the hospital - even before the family members - was Rev. Fr. Peter Ocholi Okolo CSSP, then the Parish Priest, and he paid the mandatory deposit of N25,000 cash for treatment to commence. And he said the money was not a loan to be refunded!
Rev. Fr. Awulu came and backed up all his preaching and teaching with action of meeting the needs of every human being that knocks at his door and asks for help - irrespective of tribe and religion. His giving of material and financial relief continued and has now metamorphosed into PLC Foundation. I used to hear of 'one man' becoming an institution but never understood until I encountered Rev. Fr. Awulu.
Beginning from COVID-19 till date, the coming of Rev. Fr. Awulu CSSP was akin to the coming of the Messiah - very timely. The establishment of the PRACTICAL LIVING IN CHRIST FOUNDATION is equally very timely with positive impact not only on the poor and the needy, but also on ALL PEOPLES within its catchment areas. LONG LIVE REV. FR. AWULU CSSP! LONG LIVE PLC!!! May God bless and increase your territories. Amen.
